It's like USA want to lose any competition against China. I can understand Google wants its own piece of cake in the huge Chinese market, but what it does? It opens AI center in China, sharing its know-how with Chinese engineers. It's like a suicide. Or it's because the Chinese engineers are already superior to USA engineers, and the Americans want to learn. At this point it's difficult to see the real reasons behind choices like that, apparently autodestructive. I wonder what the "American first" guy in Washington thinks about this.

Google are just a bunch of hypocrites. I remember their publicity stunt years ago about how China censors this and that. But look what they're doing now. They're kowtowing. Their search engine is still blocked there lmao.

I'm just hearing about the recent news of China's AI development, and how their government is promoting it. I'm sure they'd do fine without Google.
