The states would like that very much so Amazon will have to collect online sales tax just like Apple with iTunes.
It would be nice to have a another bookstore besides Barnes & Noble.

its called this company hasnt paied any corporate tax in japan for a long time. i hate to say this but j-customers should think about this issue and choose the net-shop for their own future.

I am sure it is, but they don't sell groceries, household appliances, daily necessities, underwear, electronic parts, etc., etc. I shop with amazon.co. jp almost daily. Most items I buy are shipped free of charge. For me Amazon is THE online shop!
