Amazon to start ebook business in Japan

    Finally! I knew negotiations were dragging, but I've had my Kindle (which is capable of displaying Japanese-language content, if there were any) for more than a year now... I'm sure the offerings will be limited in the beginning--those "competing technologies" have really kept the e-book market in disarray here--but hopefully Amazon will put its considerable muscle behind corralling the cats and finally delivering a decent selection of e-books to readers in Japan.

    @genji17 It should! I have seen some Japanese content on my Kindle.

    I wonder if the new models have a Japanese language option for the menus.
