Quietly and lagging behind by over a year. Oculus started development almost three years ago. Personally, I'll be preordering the HTC Vive next month.

This stuff has been around for a while, don't know why they're making it out to be so hard. Maybe it's a lot of trouble working around each others' patents.
No mention of Google Glass in the article. Wiki says Google just filed a license request last month with the FCC, for a new version.
