I like Amazon and have an HDX Fire, but this sounds like something an organized crime syndicate would do.

why should authors be void of competition, sounds like thyere just trying to keep there prices high. if your a quailty author then youll get the sale, market demand should dictate book prices not what an author thinks he/she should get for there work.

If Apple can get scrutinized, Amazon should be too
