All they need now is a vehicle with a battery that is designed to be exchanged. There are other alternatives - for example, exchange the electrolyte instead of the battery.

A ridiculous idea. Do you realize how large battery packs are for pure electric vehicles? It would be like dropping your engine and transmission every time you went to fill up at the pump. What is being ignored here is that utility companies are not prepared for the load on their system that would come with a sizable switch to pure electric vehicles or even plug in hybrids. They'd have to start building coal plants by the dozens to keep up with the demand.
