Does anyone know if Japanese companies are also working on something similar? Or will
be a stumbling block keeping the various gerontocracies in government and industry from adapting?

@PTownsend all cars these days have a printed circuit board & more microprocessors than you can count. When was the last time your car had a firmware update ? Go easy on me ... just asking
