I need an Air Head Girl Friend like Bunny.

I think they are cute. Brown is actually more of an airhead than Cony. He always has the same facial expressions and he never speaks... you have to watch the cartoons to get the back story on these characters.

I doubt it'll woo adults, but there's plenty of children with smart phones all over the world these days! That's their market for the cuteness sell. As for adults, just give us a good app that does what we need. Couldn't care less about cartoons.

kiwiboy, not all countries are full of 'grown ups' like New Zealand and its Commonwealth cousins

I don't know how well it will fly outside of Asia. Most Western countries already have entrenched chat applications like Line and Kakaotalk. It would take many people changing at the same time instead of only a few and those people growing tired of waiting for others. I know a few people who have it in Canada and the US, but they all lived here or in South Korea or Taiwan and took it home with them or else were introduced to it to keep in touch with people here who don't have the Western chat apps.

I hope it catches on, though -- the characters and stickers are indeed pretty cute.

M3M3M3: It's possible Brown is more the air-head, if one of them is, but I think the 'lack of expression' is just a wise, contemplative character as opposed to Cony's more mood-changing, emotional character. haha. I'll take your word for it on the video, though.

Fair enough, there are also a few stickers of Brown reading books. But the impression I get is that he is a bit 'slow' and oafish. The sheer number of stickers of Cony punching Brown in face and kicking him after rolling him up in a blanket suggest he is a bit difficult to deal with. He also seems a bit vulnerable so it's good he has Cony to take care of him.... but maybe I'm reading too much into the stickers! (I bought almost all of them since my wife loves to receive them)

8 years and counting, actually.

Clearly though, like the title's premise, I'm talking about adults outside of Asia. I know that Japanese adults are wooed by cute - how could anyone NOT know that?

I think for Line to catch on as a SERVICE, it needs to enable features that most other competitors already have (such as custom themes/colours, custom ring tones, etc). Currently, line Line's "green theme and standard ringtones or nothing" stance isn't going to endear it to most developed countries' customers. Also, the app itself needs an overhaul, with a better (ie: non-Japanese style) GUI. Currently, it's cluttered and unintuitive, with many redundant options (typical for Japanese software and design).

Nice, around the same as me. I was just trying to make a sly remark by taking your post out of context. I wonder though, would most kids even find these particular characters cute enough to follow them? I find them kind of bland, but then again I'm not a kid.
