Last measure to rescue failing Google glass?? Forcefully recycle it into doing something unproven scientifically.

If the study shows positive results, the technology could become commercially available within a couple years, Wall said.

"commercially" is the key word ! Like We need more of giant corporation spying on our face, emotion and tracking anything we think. How did the world survive before all that tracking technology.... once for all, I, personally, do not want somebody scanning my face with those Google glasses without my consent and I think I am not the only one.

Perhaps you should read the article then:

Google already ended the Google Glass project. They put the cart in front of the horse - they released the Glass without first getting enough developer support. They were hoping that by releasing the Glass first, developers would follow. That didn't happen fast enough. Some developers, like in this article, are only just catching up now, but it's a bit too little too late.

(Microsoft is trying to avoid the same mistake with the HoloLens, so they're gradually releasing the HoloLens to developers and businesses first, and not to the masses like Google did.)
