    Why, again, there is no ebay in Japan?

    Competition is Yahoo, and its stupid closed rules and fees for everything. And rakuten, where nobody bids for anything.

    I want e-bay Japan, I used to to trade a lot via e-bay when I lived in Europe but now....not really anything.

    Ebay came to Japan and failed massively... they left with their tail between there legs years ago.

    I've been using both ebay and yahoo auctions since both of them started, I can tell you yahoo auctions Japan is FAR better than ebay ! (example: yahoo = lower fees, and treated like a person, ebay = don't get me started )

    gogogo is right, ebay sucked in Japan then, they will suck again.

    Theres no ebay in Japan because Japanese people knew it was no good.

    Agree that Yahoo Auctions is far better than eBay and yes I have used both extensively. Ebay probably thought they could just come in an use their big company profile and money to blow the opposition away only to find that business doesn't always work like that.
