I still do not believe that that many losers would sign up for that junk. Unless it is filled with middle school kids trying to be cool.

well consider me the biggest loser then because I signed up and use it daily. Great to keep in touch with people back home and get the latest updates on all the favorite websites.

Facebook doesn't support unicode URLs, they need to internationalize their internal code before they want to expand seriously out of english

Wow, they still use Unicode with a PC?

I pray they never open up in China. If they do I'm off Facebook. Can't trust China's hackers and government.

China will just hack them anyhow and steal everyone's photos.
Many users are students (Facebook did initially start out in schools) who are there to hang out because everybody else in school are there, and nobody wants to be left out. Since there will always be a new generation of students, there will always be new customers.

I signed up due to "peer pressure" a couple of years ago but my account is basically idle. I know many people who are the same. I wonder how many of the 800 mil actual use it.

Nobody will use a Facebook China anyways because nobody could speak their minds that can be traced back to them. Imagine the Thought Police keeping a track on you, with much less effort, since your Facebook page and history are doing all the work keeping a file on your life.

Think it is smart for Facebook not to get into China. With the Great Wall and Great Firewell, it's probably best to avoid a potential Great Conundrum. lol
