OMG! What was my life before FB?? Does my life not count before the digital age? Or before color tv? What am I supposed to do with all of my old photo albums that I really cherish and can not be bothered to put on FB?? Geez! Give me a brake! Ok 800 millions users, what is that?? About 2 times the US population? But on a world scale?? When FB cracks China wide open, then and only then can FB have some bragging rights about Time Lines etc... Can any of our Chinese amigos come on here and defend there mother land from the evil slander of freedom of speech that the internet and FB etc..provide us outside of the so called bamboo curtain??

Not sure if I'm pro or neg on this. I like that these changes are making people more conscious of their online presence (some slower than others). There are a lot of options within the environment to show or hide your profile and updates. Perhaps, they are doing this out of the behest of lawyers' advice to put all the control of your profile into the individual's hands so that FB cannot be targeted in lawsuits? Perhaps, it's big brother? Perhaps, it's all for the online timeline? Whatever the case, it's made me rethink all the silly updates and so-called "friends" I have. @kurisupisu is right. Time to get out and have a coffee. Or at least have one with a skype-chat ;^)

Facebook comes up with new functions and changes to the way it handles private data, so that when you don't constantly check your privacy settings, sooner or later all information you ever entered becomes public. In that way users are already locked in since they signed up on FB.

This guy, and his company are really magalomaniac. In decades, they will have ben replaced by the 20 next ones and people will even forget FN ever existed... and the way they act now, that will happen even sooner than expected. Do you remember,,, usenet ? 15 years ago ? 30 years ago, in my country we all had a sort of terminal for the telephone that would take 30 seconds to display a page and the telephone company was saying would stay for life and keep paying per minute.

I like the warmth of the touch of a real live body, not a troll with a fake picture on FB. I did meet my lover though on the dating site that advertises here on JT. Lucky me...so busy.
