whoa - thank you Sergey - the money will be well spent.

I'm one of the editors...More than 5000 edits until now ;). Wikipedia is like a very rare fruit, needs a lot of love, but gives back so much. Completely independent from any company, country, politics... I can't imagine something bad happening to it.

Reformed - the nick is ebisen (shrimp rice cracker :) ). I cover technical areas - aviation, electrical and computer engineering, photography (and some others)..

Well thank you ebisen, 5000 edits is a big contribution to the invaluable source of information that Wikipedia is.

@Motaz I certainly hope that will never be the case, Wikipedia would loose much of it's credibility were it not run as an independent foundation. Although one could argue that large donations from Google and Brin, might also affect their impartiality. Maybe someone should do a check of the Google article vs. the Bing article in a few months.
