Donate $2 million dollars to a site that's only reliable for trivia.

I don`t trust Wiki much anymore. My mate who is slighly succcessfull in Britain was put on there as gay and it tool him a month to stop someone from keeping on putting stuff about him like taht.

Why donate to something that is not policied properly?

Wikipedia is a good jumping off point but you have to do some research on your own. Of course, there are a couple of studies that found that Wikipedia had the same number of mistakes as traditional paper-bound encyclopedias. The trouble spots seem to be the controversial sections like evolution and Iran.

My main complaint with wikipedia is the different languages have different information on the same subject.

I for one have learnt a lot of history from there, whether it is all accurate or not is another matter. As for the donation, it is but small change from the giant Google and I hope they understand the importance of it staying independent... and free from ads.

While I never would depend on wikipedia as a base for research, it is incredibly useful for getting ideas before research. Most topics are very well made and quite useful for random questions.

I fully support this great site, despite some minor flaws.
