    the U.S., which has banned the import of North Korean-made goods.

    Curious what the point of this is. Anything which encourages market forces is bound to lead to a freer and more open country, even if the business was ostensibly govt.owned. Have sanctions ever worked for a country like North Korea? When does cutting off communication ever work in any walk of life? These kind of sanctions would only work with a country or regime that gave a s*it, not ones like NK, Libya or Iraq where people's lives are/were so severely controlled.

    Sadly nobody wants north Korea to prosper. They would have been crushed like Iraq if they had a weak military
