Sounds like the old apples. Are we going backwards with no hard drives?

Everything seems going to the Clouds, er I mean, cloud computing. That's why no hard drives, but always need internet connection.
And because of that, it would suck when you do fly up to the clouds - in airplanes and many places where you don't have internet connection.
That's why it's being marketed to businesses at this time, not to households.
But more competition is good in my book. So that the next Windows 8 won't be hundreds of dollars (yeah right).

Sounds like Oranges to me , when did Apple ship without a hard drive ?,
The new machines are expected to work in Cloud Storage and that's where the new real estate money is , getting to rent some iCloud space.

It comes with enough memory to run simple apps, listen to music, etc. even when disconnected. Also, cloud real estate is at the moment mostly free; it will also survive the demise of your PC. It seems ideal as long as your data is not particularly sensitive.
