As I said to all the other SNS's -- No thanks! They steal the contents of one's address book and spam people. As far as I'm concerned it's the same thing as hacking.

The reason why most people use Gmail (like me) is because it makes making a Google+ profile 1000% easier.

Not too big on g+. usabilty lacks somewhat, plus looks boring.

G+ is still new and being set-up/configured but they will offer better content to FB(give it another 6 months).

No new Software product will be 100% from the word go, if they are they overshoot the goal by a few months/years.

I am on G+ and it works well for mine and other needs, not into extra features, etc I won't use.

Yeah. Especially since nobody I know, including myself, has been able to sign up to it, because it's "full" or something stupid like that...

I joined after a friend invited me. His name didn't show up on my account. Two days later, another friend invites me, and I'm told to open an account. Again. I did. His name doesn't show up. Facebook is more than enough for me, and even with all the spamming and junk on FB, I'm considering remaking my MySpace account! Google+? No thanks.

I made a Google+ profile out of curiosity. I found it boring because almost all my friends (and "friends") are still on Facebook.

The majority of people joined out of curitosity, as did I and found it simple and boring. There is nothing special about it and personally I get more out of facebook. If they want to catch my attention: more colour, more imagination and have something totally unique to google+ that captures attention.

There are a few things that appear unique to google+, but the 'circles' aren't very special, you can put your friends into different categories, we can do that on facebook. Webcam possibilities and chatting online, we have skype and msn. Combining them all is a good idea, but there needs to be something that draws us too it, and they haven't done it for me.

The site is too simple and boring to keep my attention.

Google+ has had the fastest takeup because it's an established brand. The others had to start from scratch so naturally toook time to become popular. In a way it's a disadvantage for Google because they have to have a good thing from the start or risk losing people early while other companies had the freedom to develop and user-test their software over time.

I've not seen anything on there yet to make me keep using. Even the front-end isn't appealing. But we'll see how it develops if it doesn't bomb like Wave and Buzz.

Slightly embarrassingly, Google's own trends show that after initial interest after the launch, there's been a large drop to below pre-launch levels:

It's easy to be cynical (it's also easy to spell losers correctly). I find the opposite for what it's worth - they're more of a tool to get absorbed in others.
