Soon we never need to leave the house anymore. All we need is on Google. Happy in a virtual world like in the matrix.

It's impressing in its early days, and from what people who have moved over from Facebook have said, it's what FB should have been.

It seems to have taken a lot of the best ideas of Diaspora, which I actually prefer, but not sure it has the reach of Google...

Waste of time, but I guess it is good for those living in the sticks, and for those that are physically handicapped...as well as the old, as mention with Desmond and Dalai.

Hard to say whether it can overtake FB or not. On the one hand, FB is so ingrained world-wide that it's hard to see Google doing anything but getting mostly dual users (who stick mostly with FB because that's where everyone else already is). On the other hand, MySpace was the place to be before FB came on and quickly knocked it out of existence (more or less).

No thanks. Get outside and move and live a real life instead of being cooped up in front of the computer.

Please, google has linked it with gmail and all you need do is free 1 button to get an account. Signing up and using the service are two different things.

Well, apparently Google’s top management aren’t big users of the company’s social network either >> http://mashable.com/2011/10/12/google-engineer-rant-google-plus/

I recently discovered that since I probably have Google everything, that I now had a Google+ account. I haven't quite got my head around it because I'm dealing with the new changes on FaceBook and my blog on Posterous made some serious changes too becoming Posterous Spaces.
It says 40 million but that is the number of accounts but not active accounts.

Don't know why Patric was voted down, the rant is a good read.
All these social networks, someone needs to invent the master ring to control them all.

Facebook only counts active accounts as well... google does not.

The appearance and navigation is much better than the "new" facebook, but not sure why I care so much? I find that with all the new changes I'm unsubscribing from more people and drastically narrowing my "friend" list. With google+ in the mix, it's really made me want to give up on all this social media on a personal level and just have news updates.
