Gov't, Toyota, Nissan to step up efforts on intelligent maps

The only way intelligent maps would work correctly (and I do agree they are going to be needed for smart cars to operate efficiently), is if the motor vehicle departments were required to update the status of all construction that would affect road closures or changes in status (say, from two-way to one-way) and the times when said conditions were in effect.
