What an apt metaphor : using a flower model for solar energy - - -Every introduction of new alternate energy sources, is a step away from nuclear . . .And that is a good thing.

Cool idea, I wonder how efficient they are compared to standard solar panels.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what this means..."the hydrangea-inspired solar offering is small beer alongside one of the world’s biggest offshore wind power farms"

The metaphor 'small beer' is equivalent to 'small potatoes' American English.

So since Japan is so great with the kawaii science, are we any closer to kicking nuclear energy for good? If not then why not? Quit wasting tax money on the BS and put it toward ending the need for nuclear energy, or wasn't anything learned from 3/11/2011?
