They should give it a job on a "variety" programme.

Saw this on Mino Monta this morning. It/She didn't strut, or walk. It/She trundled. It was blindingly obvious that there were wheels not legs under that long skirt. Pretty weird rather than just pretty.

And that long-sleeved, high-necked, flowers-surrounding-the-face look is so not in for brides at the moment.

  • womanforwomen at 09:38 AM JST - 23rd July

    Oh please... what a waste....

    Robot Nation

If we ever get attacked by aliens that are really robots, we can rely on Japan to defend the earth. Otherwise, not so sure of the applications of wedding gown wearing robots...

Are real models THAT hard to find?

    Farmboy:

I can see where this is going... robotic wives and husbands, robotic marriage ceremonies, robotic children...

Much of this country's already been there quite a while I think!

    The Fashion Police have spoken!

Looks like even models risk being replaced by technology...

  • the_harper at 09:32 PM JST - 23rd July

Would the robot look any good in a swimsuit? I'm not especially surprised by this; the fashion industry has been using underage models for years now to avoid having to design around the figure of a mature woman. Now they don't have to design for humans at all...

I wanted to use it for fashion and entertainment

Oh-kay...someone wanting to use an inanimate object for pleasure. Maybe something was lost in translation?

  • Fadamor at 02:41 AM JST - 24th July

Considering the cost of runway supermodels, I can see where this will ultimately be cheaper... There is no worry about the model bloating during that particular time of the month so the sizes never need to be adjusted. There's no conflict of schedule between your show and some magazine photo shoot. If one gets "sick" (breaks down), an identically-sized replacement is ready to go.
