    What about people that do not have the ability to type or read in Japanese etc.?

    I would agree that getting available domain names is beginning to become a headache for most companies.

    But I think this sudden expansion would be a confusing crossroad for many users.

    They worry that an expansion will mean more addresses available to scams that use similar-sounding names such as “Amazom” rather than “Amazon” to trick people into giving passwords and credit card information.

    Even with the current domain naming system, this practice is easily fooling many users in giving away their personal login information. Popular gaming sites such as World of Warcraft have numerous fake websites which look like the original website, but being used to steal the gamer's login information (which is the game account as well).

    Wonder how old Vint Cerf might feel about this.

    Eventually, or theoretically, any person or firm willing to produce USD200k could have their own vanity gTLD all to themselves. Oh, the circlejerk.
