It's great to hear Japanese banks are willing to back this startup, but does JT have stories of Japanese entrepreneurs and their startups?

Tucked in a shabby alley of Shibuya, Japan’s Silicon Valley, is a startup that’s done the almost impossible: win funding from the country’s notoriously conservative banks.

One start-up getting some money is hardly a reason to start shouting about Japan's budding entrepreneurship. More start-ups than that get venture capital every day in the U.S. Especially since the entrepreneurs they talk about in the article are ex-pats.

Moneytree is to be applauded but there just aren't enough examples of this in Japan ( notice how the article has very little other content) so Japan will never produce a high tech area like Silicon Valley.....

Better late than never. Hopefully more Japanese owned & lauched start-ups can jump on the funding bandwagon. Good luck!

Cool! But other way around is use Kickstarter and indiegogo.
