The bulk is expected to burn up. What about the rest of it? I hope it is a success. I love space stuff.

It's launching from the Tanegashima space centre south of Kyushu.

As far as I know, it's where all JAXA rockets launch from. None of the supply ships (Russian, EU, Japan) are reusable. As far as I know they ditch in an orbit which puts any remnants in the ocean.

will transport around 4.5 tons of materials including freeze-dried food, bread, clothes and shampoo

So they're launching a 7-11. Are they going to have a magazine rack so the astronauts can stand in the ailse and read the weeklies? How about a bimbo part-time-high-schooler cashier??

techall - your post made me ROTFL... seriously - you should quit smoking that stuff :)) On the other hand it's cool that Japanese provide an alternative to the Russian and American Space programs. The Russian space technology proved to be extremely reliable (far better than the USA one) but still it's still in everybody's advantage to have alternatives.
