so this is 'stock- profit' through public funds (most likely).

KDDI doing well, congrats-kudos to KDDI.
Many people still have to use KDDI, handphones and communicate.

I use AU but, i am still sticking to my old handset. Recently with the prices they are charging I dont think they are subsidizing their handset lineup anymore. The Omnia (i am not an Iphone fan) and its pricing are tilting me towards the other carrier that still does subsidizes the handsets it is offering.

I have an AU but try not to use it as cell phones are a total rip off in this country.

au reception nationwide is the best. All handsets are forward and backward compatible with 2G and 3G technologies. So if the purpose of having handphone is only talk/email and you wish for a fewer drop calls and good coverage, AU is the answer. I am still using AU Sanyo A5505SA I purchased in Dec 2003. The only bad thing I am foreseeing with AU is in the internet/data plan. CDMA-1XEVDO rev A/B will not be as good as the HSDPA/HSPA used by E-mobile. AU's per packet charging and fixed data pricing is still very high.
