    Well, that's the whole point of the thing so it sounds successful. I'm sure it will be better after a few software updates.

    morons, no it's not, who writes this garbage -who are these clowns? the kindle fire is a $200 amazon specific toy, its not a fully featured tablet.It's not competing with ipad, its targeting a diferent part of the spectrum, its a media display device. Its like saying the Toyota corolla is rival of a the Ferrari. Very different products.

    carcharodon - exactly!!!! i am that target but unable to get it here in japan. i have to go for the high priced with the whistles and bells. do not want.

    Really? Is its Android market locked? Is its browser only set to Amazon related urls? What about the wifi? Does it block out non-Amazon sites? Please tell me more.
