Kobo Android app now available in Japan
Kobo Inc, a subsidiary of Rakuten Inc, said Tuesday that its free Kobo Android app is now available for the Japanese market. The app allows customers to buy directly from the Kobo eBookstore and read their books on their Android smartphones and tablets.
Kobo offers the award-winning kobo Touch eReader, the new front-lit kobo glo eReader, and the 5” E Ink touchscreen kobo mini eReader in Japan. With the launch of Kobo’s Android app, users with an eReader can now also access their books on their smartphones and tablets.
In addition, the app allows users to enjoy color rich content. Purchases from the Kobo eBookstore are stored in the Kobo cloud, making users’ libraries accessible anytime, anyplace, with bookmarks synched across all their devices.
The app can be downloaded from the Google Play store.
