    Why?

Why? Why does Kyodo not really report the news?

MOX fuel has no history in Japan. It's less stable, untested. Japan's prototype "fast breeder" reactor Monju, got really messed up when sodium pipes burst. Not good. And there was a cover up. More not good. It's a white elephant. A full on nuclear plant, experimental, it's about half a year.. and mothballed. It's been maybe 10 years? The populace has every reason to be critical of government and industry here.

The byproduct of burning MOX fuel is weapons grade plutonium. Is J going nuclear? Let's hope not. The intended home for this was to be with the still messed up nuclear industry, at their still messed up prototype fast breeder reactor Monju where it itself was to be burned off as fuel! It's just nuts.

Now with no place for this plutonium byproduct, where will it go? It is not the kind of stuff you leave laying around. Is this the reason for the "postponement"?
