I still do not get the hype about this silly business.

Second that. It's social engineering at it's finest! FB will go the way of Myspace in probably another 2 years. Google+ will take over for sure. Google+ features and integration with it's core Google services is just too deep. Bing is useless and Facebook will never be a replacement for Search.

Most North American teenagers are using Facebook. That youth strategy is gonna help Facebook because, once ya get them while they're still young, they tend to stick to it to adulthood since they already invested a lot of their lives into it.

@southsakai, I think you're right about the features that Google Plus offers, but I think FB is already ingrained in Internet culture. People aren't going to make the switch to Google Plus and most people go to Google for searches, not as a social place. I LOVE Gmail and Google Voice, but though I set up Google Plus it just hasn't grabbed my attention. FB is far more interesting and easy to use because I've been using it for so long.
Could someone PLEASE explain how or if the IPO effects laypeople??? Do we just get a stock broker to buy the stock for us or is all of the IPO talk just interesting for Wall Street people???
And @southsakai... Why weren't my PLUS symbols allowed in my post? I use the PLUS symbol, but it was omitted.
