Messenger app tops a billion downloads at Google Play

Only have so many downloads because users had no choice because they couldn't read their messages on mobile. I didn't agree with the terms and conditions but had no choice but to accept them if I wanted to see messages.

I decided to go with not being able to read messages on mobile. Whenever someone sends me a message through facebook, I point them at an alternate method of contacting me. No way I'm letting Facebook rape my phone with their app.

Aren't there a lot of other messenger apps? Facetime, Skype, Line...just to name a few?

Meh, line will take over facebook messenger in the near future. Its going to be a battle between line, wechat and whatsapp

I quit facebook 1 year ago and im happy. Had friends and family. But come on. I dont want to see pictures of parties. Hopefully this facebook thing will be something of thebpast.
