Seen the report on BBC. Looks like MS wants to turn the Xbox into a PS3 style multi-media platform(which it was from the start).
None of the new additions/changes will get me to swap my PS3 for one as those additions/changes will be country specific. Sorry, my PS3 is still the cheapest BD/3D BD player out there and with the Torne it also functions as a DVR.

OK ... so now parents don't need to be worried to find their child talking to the Xbox. Wait, some players have not just been talking to their Xboxes, but shouting or even cussing at it!
How about regional differences in regards to English? Would this system be able to figure out what the user really wants?
Just wondering.

Apple already did this with Siri, save that it likely does more. Leave it to yet another company to try and copy Apple's accomplishments in one form or another.

Smith.
You are aware that many phones and smart-phones used voice-commands for years already? Granted Apple took it to a different level but only improved on an existing tech that existed for decades.

MS announced it has been delayed... so much for the big press release for it!

Xbox had voice command since Kinect, which is a camera and a microphone (can also be used for video chatting).
The only thing new is Microsoft added it to web search, just like all the other smartphones already.
