Mac is pretty sweet these days (Macbook and iMac), and Linux is there for cheap computers. I would rarely recommend Windows for any reason, even business. Once business leaves Windows and all their legacy problems are left behind them, they'll never look back.

Micro$chrot are indeed funny. First they make a CRAP OS, full of holes through which one can loose passwords, files or entire partitions, and get computer viruses.

Then they are charging the user 50 USD for the service of repairing their own collection of bugs and problems.

And THEN - and this is indeed the funny part, they try to compete with other companies offering FREE solutions to Microsoft&s problems, by making their version of the security system free. One would expect them to first work at making their own OS more fault-proof, with less bugs and ways for viruses to infect, but nooo, they just apply a patch over a rotten-used, old and full of holes leather jacket.

Here is a better strategy for Micro$oft: Why not make some holes and viruses on purpose, then make your own 500$ antivirus to "close" those "holes"?

Good for them. Was reading one report from the BBC website last week about an expected surge in Mac viruses in 2010 as the systems slowly become more popular.

More people using the computer means more people looking for exploits. Use Workbench 1.3 and you'll probably not get infected either.

Mac has been rolling out a series of massive security patches the past year for OS X. I guess MS is just trying to catch up.

To whit, "Apple rolled out Java security updates for Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5 late Monday afternoon. Java for Mac OS X 10.4 Update 9 and Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 4 patch a series of flaws that could let a remote attacker gain elevated privileges or execute arbitrary code on the victim's computer.

The security updates address issues in Mac OS X 10.4.11 and 10.5.7 where attackers could use untrusted Java applets to gain elevated privileges on a victim's computer, or where visiting a Web site containing a maliciously crafted Java applet could let an attacker run arbitrary code with the victim's current privileges."

And so on, and so on.....

Of course. Every operating system includes patches to remove bugs and security vulnerabilities that are found after its release. That's the reason updates machines are more secure. Problem is a lot of people don't see anyone but Microsoft patching their systems.

The security software is free because it is meant to spy on YOU. You can thank the Department of Defense.

Good to hear and can't wait to test it. @ Informed LMAO I was waiting for the conspiracy D-hole to rear its pointy little head. Next time wait until I finish my milk.
