Mitsubishi plans big expansion in solar power

TOKYO —

Mitsubishi Electric Corp said Wednesday it will spend 50 billion yen to boost solar power cell production four-fold by early 2012 amid growing interest in renewable energies.

The group said it will build a new facility on the site of an existing plant in Nagano Prefecture to step up production of photovoltaic cells “in response to a sharp increase in demand for solar power generation systems.” Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda has set a target to raise the use of solar cells 10-fold from present levels by 2020, with the government considering subsidies and tax breaks for households turning to solar power.

government considering subsidies and tax breaks for households turning to solar power

The government will be the last one to help us with solar power, why, because they get hugh revenue from every gallon (or liter) of gas you put in your car and they can't afford to loose that. Remember that when you buy a solar cell the government can only tax you on that one time purchase and won't be able to tax you for each gallon of light your sollar cell uses.

Please excuse "gallon of light" but you can invision what I am saying..right?

P.S. for those in the USA just remember our government put two men on the moon in 1969 and they drove around on the moon in an electric car partly powered by solar cells (more than 37 years ago) and we still don't have any mass produced electric cars here on earth...think about it people...your government is the last one who wants you to have FREE solor power!!!
