I hope the world sees even more car makers enter the market offering consumers more choices, especially if they're making cars that are less reliant on petroleum and petroleum based products.

Wonder if Nintendo will sue with a name like that

Faraday will move fast because it will act “more like a technology company than an automotive company,” Sampson said.

No, Faraday will move fast because they will be relying heavily on the patents Tesla released to the public domain. That's not a bad thing... it's what Tesla intended when it released the patents.

They revealed their name, Faraday Future, a company with 750 employees. They revealed their location, California. They revealed their prototype car, the FFZERO1, and it's electric and they plan to release it in two years... Curious JT... What makes them a mystery?

The article was written by Agence France-Presse, not JT. You would have to ask AFP that very good question.

It may have a concept car, but it has no prototype or clear picture of what it will produce. It is also highly secretive.

I suspect a scam.

Really? Based on what? They are going to produce a car. As for being "highly secretive", just what do you base that bit of information on? I had no problem finding their web site that included the details of their concept car. as well as information on the "Gang of Four" that founded the company.

They may be "redefining mobility," but it's still got four wheels and a motor, like any other car...

I read another article about the company and it seemed they were looking into a time-share concept rather than outright ownership of a vehicle. I can't really picture how that would work, but perhaps that is what they meant by "redefining mobility". Right off the bat I see problems with insurance companies and finance companies if a car has multiple time-share owners.

At least this prototype does not look like another insipid cube car designed by an excel file and a computer simulation, more power to designers.
