I think the zero comments (until mine) two days after this article posted pretty much sums it up. As for me, my eyesight is bad enough at age 51 without trying to view a handheld 3D screen. Nintendo will have to get by without my money this time.

This rules. You can use the 3D, or switch it off.
It also has WiFi, and with Mario Kart 7, for example, it is awesome.

So a Nintendo 3DS with 3D switched off becomes a... Nintendo DS? I could probably get a Nintendo DS MUCH cheaper now. Why pay extra for a feature I'm just turning off?
