I still say the BEST collision-prevention technology is to don't drive! Try taking the train or bus or heaven forbid try WALKING!

EVERY automotive foul up I have witnessed this year has involved a Nissan. Best strategy is give them a wide berth!

Better to improve the drivers' ability and invest in decent roads than developing these gimmicks which do nothing to improve their skills. What if the "yawing mechanism" is set off accidentally and puts the driver into trouble?

How about a mobile phone detector? lots of accidents happen while they are calling on their mobile.

Traction control and ABS braking have reduce some kinds of accidents but both have all caused different kinds of accidents some times more serious. Reducing accidents by taking control away from the driver just allows more people with bad reflexes and co-ordination to drive resulting in more accidents. If Auto makers want to reduce accidents they have to produce fully automated road systems were drivers are not needed or stop producing automatics and go back to producing manual cars. This patch work of gimicky "safety devices" only makes more money for them and does little for road safety. Insurance companies were conned into giving rebates for cars fitted with ABS but soon stopped giving rebates when they realised it was not reducing their accident costs.
