Two tired players of the market have realized at last that they have nothing to do in front of iOS and Android and it's better to gamble by hotchpotch of Bing craps and already defeated Symbian.

Technology and dollars cannot make a new Apple alone.

yeah right, i'll never buy a Windows smartphone. It'll need a CTRL-ALT-DEL function for sure.

HAHAHAHA..... Hilarious. Next they'll be saying they plan to make a new smart phone for release next year. It'll in actuality be released in 2017 and be full of flaws and incompatible with everything else. Microsoft will then distance themselves from their own new OS and decided on a Windows 7-like model. Nonetheless, there will be no applications for it because everyone's designing for iPhone.
Laughable. People have given up on Windows for good reason -- it sucks. Oh wait, it's decent for Excel and Word. For everything else, it sucks.

the Nokia hardware was very good. The phone (2006) I had could do a tremendous amount of things -read Word docs, pdfs, hook up a keyboard etc. -but to learn to do them or just do them was the hard part. At some point you give up the struggle of learning your phone.
=hardware good, usability bad.
iPhone (and now others) is much easier to do things on. Quality of speakers/headphone on the iPhone can be poor, but you have add-ons that can help with that.

It's called exaggeration, mi amigo. Regardless, it says in the article alone that they would have a lot of catching up to do with apps and customers. They won't get the latter.

They should work on a new kind of gadget instead of trying to rival Iphone and Android. Waste of time.
