Palm lost it years ago, with their inability to provide: 1) a stable operating system 2) a reliable means of 'synching' with modern computers and 3) simple WiFi access. I used Palm Pilots for years right from the first model through to the Tx, and re-setting or re-booting 2 or 3 times a day became ridiculous, along with constant re-synching when updating applications due to "unstable states," whilst WiFI access was inconsistent, and a huge drain on the battery. It is still not possible to synch an Apple iTouch via USB, but it is very stable, and WiFi access is very easy, but I do miss the simplicity of the Palm calendar, and many of their applications.
