It all depends on the actual need for such a service. I'm sure most BB users love their ipods for what they are, and love their BBs for not being itoys. Still, what can RIM do since they are falling behind in the market even though their products are sound devices? 5 bucks a month seems okay, but we'll have to see if the youth buy into it. As well, they need to revamp their media software if this is truly to work. Waiting...

I do not think many young people are into Black Berrys, so not too sure if this will sell with kids, but, maybe kids can teach pop or grandpa, grandma, how to download music, from way back in the 1950s? 1940s? This is what my little nephews in Mexico City do, they teach my old, old uncle about the internet and what does he do? He sends me pictures of beautiful cities all around the world, that some other old guy must be sending him, so he just can not wait to show off that he knows how to use email?? We have to love our older uncles and aunts, maybe they will like this music stuff on BB??

My image is that the majority of the world's 45 million blackberry users have them as a company device. Will their corporate BB accounts allow for this music?
