while the amount of money is minimal it does say that Apple infringed on Samsungs patents which is what they set out to do. just goes to show that courts outside the US wont always side with Apple.

That's a wonderful picture for the article.

The only problem is that I'm focusing on the beautiful models instead of the phones.

wtfjapan

Nope the Japanese court ruled that Samsung was disrupting industry rule of Reasonable and non-discriminatory (RaND) licensing and had provided Apple can use the patent as long as Apple pays the acceptable licensing fee to Samsung.

In other words, Samsung's shady way of doing business to pull competitor's legs was exposed to the public.

If you look at the posts here you understand why both sides are claiming victory. Samsung wanted everyone to know that Apple was trying to rip them off. Apple wants people to know that Samsung is trying to limit competition... I think Samsung is the real winner here because the court DID say Apple is in the wrong. This could have an effect is the numerous other battles these global giant children are fighting about. If it were me I would put both of them in the corner until they learn to play nice. Then I would put Google in a corner just so they don't get any funny ideas.

yes definatley a win for Samsung, shows courts outside the US are prepared to show that Apple infringes just as Samsung does, pot kettle black.
