It should say "...stands its ground." The phrase "Stand your ground", means don't back down when faced with trouble.

Samsung has always had problems honouring warranties around the world. I know this first hand in Japan, Canada and the USA. This now will only get worse as they tighten their collective belts an deny even more warranty claims.

Their products may be cheap but in most cases is not what they claim it to be. They fudge the specs to compete with others on pricing but you're not getting what they state and compare.

Also, when Samsung gets caught they rarely come out with a solution for the problem, they just move on to their next profit idea and pretend there's nothing wrong.

Those ethics and lack of respect for their customers is the MAIN reason I won't buy their products and warn other to avoid Samsung unless they want less than advertised and a useless long warranty than can't be used.

Samsung products are usually more expensive than other products in the US and elsewhere. I avoid them because they are usually too expensive. Korean products are cheap only in Japan. I think the reason is because Japanese have false sense of superiority or complex against Asians.
