Hmmm, and it will get worse from now on! I was looking at their lineup of smart-phones and it is dominated by Sharp. All the trendy handsets from Samsung etc. are offered by docomo. They rely only on iPhone but are not the sole player anymore. I'm Softbank's client and unlike many others I don't have big complains but now their future looks grim...

It does when all the rumours seem to pointing to DoCoMo carrying the iphone5, as and when it released later int he year. Coupled with LTE support, it will be very hard to compete.

Softbank was the only Japanese mobile operator to offer the iPhone, but it now faces tougher competition after KDDI Corp, the country’s second-largest carrier, also began to sell the iPhone 4S when it was released in October.

Then why haven't the costs of the damn white plan gone down? Something fishy with this stuff.

Softbank sucks, they invest their money into the "white family" TVCMs trying to divert attention away from the fact their signal is the worst in the country!
