On Tuesday, Yahoo! Japan carried out a project to donate 10 yen per user search of "3.11" on Yahoo to children in the Great East Japan earthquake-hit areas.
According to Yahoo, 2,568,325 people (unique browsers) have searched "3.11" in 24 hours. So, although initially, Yahoo mentioned they will donate up to 5 million yen, they decided to donate 25,683,250 yen to the Great East Japan Earthquake Recovery Initiatives Foundation.
The Great East Japan Earthquake Recovery Initiatives Foundation is a group that supports sports, education and childcare for children living in the prefectures of Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima prefectures, the 3 most affected by the tragedy.

Doesn't seem like much for a multi million dollar company.
