Toshiba lights up colossal Times Square LED display

NEW YORK —

Toshiba Corp on Wednesday lit up a gigantic light-emitting diode display 15.6 meters high and 16 meters wide at One Times Square Building overlooking New York’s Times Square.

The display, measuring 22.3 meters diagonally across and standing 87 meters above street level, incorporates a fully digital high-definition video system, according to Toshiba.
