Just make an android humanoid robot that act and think like humans. And ALL of Japan's problems will be solved. No more shrinking population, better economy, and more care for the old people. Honda is on its way to make that happen. Better catch up soon Toyota!

This way the Japanese won't have to internationalize, and open their doors to hundreds of thousands of non-Japanese. But alas, I don't think that it is going go happen. This robot will not become cheap enough. The foreigners are coming.

When Star Wars first came out, people began to dream of androids that would be their bosom buddy and life long companion. A droid that you would grow up with that would be no different that your human friends. Now we are faced with the reality that the robots that we will grow old with will be our wet nurse and not our life long friends. I was hoping that robots would be more socially functional than this. I don't need a droid with super human strength, just strong enough to be an average or above average human. I do want a droid that can carry on an intelligent conversation. We have computers in almost every home around the world, thanks Steve Jobs and Apple. We don't have robots in every home, a we don't have a Steve Jobs that is making robots as popular as computers. What the world needs is a Steve Jobs of droids.
To walk with me and to talk with me. A droid for all seasons.
