Sounds like an article from the Onion.
US government, the organization notorious for exploiting vulnerabilities to listen in on sensitive data, possibly also taking part in creating the vulnerabilities, is warning people about a potential breach. What's next?
gogogo
Apple users are sheep and blind to think nothing can go wrong with their computers because it's "apple"... it's why the government has to warn people

thats funny、they are flying drones to spy on every one in another article but telling us to be careful in this one

Might be the dumbest thing ever posted on Japan Today. And there have been some incredibly dumb things written in all the years.

It’s ironic, the US government issuing a warning about cell phone data theft, when they appear to be the largest culprits. The Justice Department is scooping up data from thousands of mobile phones through devices deployed on airplanes that mimic cellphone towers. It's a high-tech hunt for criminal suspects that is snagging a large number of innocent Americans. This according to the ACLU and the Wall Street Journal.

Interesting. And what happens to these innocent Americans when they are "snagged"? Arrest? Waterboarding? Decapitation? ...or it the truth that NOTHING happens to these innocent Americans? I'm guessing the latter.

First of all to gogogo: Baaaaa. Yup, I'm a sheep, but a happy sheep. Secondly, I appreciate the government warning us. As for spying on us, while I might be ignorant for saying this, if you aren't plotting against the government, generally you have nothing to worry about. It's sort of like old school carpet bombing. Some day they'll have 'smart bomb' style spying technology instead of a dragnet. Wouldn't it be ironic if the men in black suddenly knocked on my door?

bug in Apple's iOS software im sorry but that is just impossible, for the premium price people pay for that shiny phone with round corners and the pure innovation that goes into a Iphone it will never never happen. after all it is a Apple

The thing is, WireLurker and Masque Attack are not viral and can't infect users unless they intentionally disable their security. Call me old school but that doesn't sound so much like a bug but rather user stupidity.

"WTFJ-Pan"; I can't help notice the the WinDoze OS flaw, that was KNOWN ABOUT for TWENTY (20!) YEARS, was JUST fixed.. Enjoy your ConFuzer.

"The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws." ~ Ayn Rand
When tyranny comes marching in, I suppose you'll be the one applauding.

It depends on your definition of innocent. There are many things we now consider were the right thing but 20 years ago were considered anti government and indictable offenses, and were enforced such as conscience objectors. There have been many people placed in jail by evidence (high percentage of black people) that didn't have any thing to do with their case so its stupid to assume that more surveillance means less innocent people get indicted, on the contrary its easier to high light irrelevancies. Further, if they say they are collecting phone numbers, you can be sure that's just the tip of the ice berg

Nice Rand quote, kabuki. Just what I was thinking.

Not too far from what Microsoft had been saying for years while Apple users trumpeted iOS's supposed invulnerability to malicious software attacks. That sound Apple users are hearing as iOS becomes more prolific is that of the other shoe dropping while malware creators set their aim squarely on the Apple product line. The majority of viruses introduced to a person's computer or device, either PC or iOS, are attributable almost exclusively to the user's failure to employ common sense. Clearly, Apple users don't corner the market on that commodity. :)
