U.S. pushes pedal on car-to-car communication

Yes yes yes yes. Self-driving cars will do wonders for traffic and much more. I've been talking a lot about this with my colleagues and for some of them it would be nice to just get into their car and let it do all the driving for their daily work commute. Some of them can eat breakfast, put on make-up, talk on their cell phone, read a book while the car takes them where they need to go. Parent's won't have to be distracted by their kids since the car is driving. Elderly citizens that have failing eye-sight, lower awareness, or slower reaction times will no longer be a danger by operation a moving vehicle.
