fine but.... these robots are quite pointless, like Asimo. The point of baseball is a game for humans, to learn cooperation and non verbal skills of tolerance and fun. To work as a team and become friends. It's as if the article is saying Japanese can't be friends with anyone.
Is this all Japan is to become? If Japanese and immigrants to Japan played baseball together that would end a lot of stereotypes.

Anyway, I've been playing baseball against computer opponents for 30 years. Real baseball with humans is much more fun.

I suppose it's over everyone's head that these robots aren't being made to actually play baseball or replace human players but to test and develop advanced motor skills and precision movements for other more important applications.
