Vodafone, Verizon in $130 bil mega-deal

In the April-to-June quarter, Verizon Wireless added 941,000 devices to its contract-based plans, exceeding analyst estimates and continuing a strong run.

Verizon Wireless could also be adding another 700,000 plus more users soon if they expand into Canada by buying out WIND Mobile and Mobilicity and becoming the 4th main player in Canada. The other three were so worried that their price fixing (gouging) and lousy customer service would be challenged by Verizon's entrance into Canada with lower prices and better service that the three joined forces to come up with a smear campaign online, TV and Radio but it backfired.

Verizon being under its own control would be a better move.
