I wonder what's the value of the site considering Facebook is in the billions.

Good website. This is where I learned about the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake and massacre of Koreans, Chinese and Okinawans.

Samuraiiki: Yeah, nice link. I always like trying new things. I have a high tolerance and never seem to go out of my mind, so to speak.
I use Wiki quite a lot, mainly for researching aboit people i am interested in. The Japanese one is crap, pure text book Japanese style muck!!

"My problem with Wikipedia is the mistakes"
What! There are mistakes in Wikipedia?! You mean my knowledge of the world is flawed?!

I seem to remember a study that found wikipedia as accurate as paper-based encyclopedias.

You are getting 100x the info of a traditional encyclopedia with 90 percent of the accuracy, a decent trade-off as long as everyone remembers it. Basically, it is a great place to begin a search for answers on a topic but certainly not the only or most authoritative.

rajkumar - ummmm NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! No advertisement, no way, never. It should stay exactly as it currently it - the only way of ensuring complete accuracy without cluttering the display with useless information.
